The French Federation President, Nicolas Hénard

Nicolas Hénard was elected president of the French Sailing Federation in March 2017. He is an Olympic champion by winning twice the Gold Medal helming a Tornado. The first victory was won in Seoul in 1988 with Jean-Yves Le Deroff and the second one in Barcelona in 1992 with Yves Loday. He is a passionate sailor from Calais, that would love to see Marseille as sailing venue at the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024.

After winning his second gold medal in the Olympic catamaran, Nicolas had thought about moving to the Star class, but somehow it didn’t happen.

It definitely happened during the traditional Christmas Regatta in Nice over the Christmas Holiday, and he enjoyed it very much.
