Bacardi Cup 2018, worth 3,000 SSL points

The Bacardi Cup is one of the main sailing event of the year for nearly one century. Star sailors from all over the world come to Miami, stay at Coral Reef Yacht Club to compete following the traditional format on Biscayne Bay. From March 4th to the 10th one race a day for six days, with legs up to 2 miles, and regattas lasting more than two hours: that’s the way it was done at the beginning of the century and this is still the way Star sailors like it, at least once a year.

That is why the Star Sailors League will celebrate the importance of this yearly meeting and the long history of the Star Class by giving 3,000 SSL Ranking to the winner of Bacardi Cup 2018.

Here's the video highlights of last day of racing of the 2017 edition.

If you register before February 4th you will have a cheaper entry fee and be assured the possibility to sail in the same fleet to some of the best sailors in the world. Almost 90 teams have already entered and among them you can find the two times SSL Finals winners Mark Mendelblatt and Brian Fatih (USA), Paul Cayard and Mark Strube (USA), Tom Lofstedt (SWE), Diego Negri and Sergio Lambertenghi (ITA), Larry Whipple and Austin Sperry (USA).
