Star sailors gone foiling

Two Star sailors join the foiling ARMIN STROM SAILING TEAM on the GC32, completely renovated for its fourth season.

The skipper himself is a Star sailor and attended the SSL Finals 2013, he is a four time Olympic sailor in the Star class: Flavio Marazzi truly believes that having young Olympians will make the difference.

Team manager and well-known Star sailor Frithjof Kleen, fully agrees with the idea and immediately enrolled the German bronze medalist in the 49er Class in Rio 2016, Erik Heil. Frida coached him for the Games and they have a great feeling, Erik also helped out and together with Flavio they called other two 49er sailors. Alain Sign from UK and Iago Lopez Marra from Spain. A Star sailor, crew at the London Olympic-Games for Portugal, Frederico Melo, and a match racer from the past ARMIN STROM Sailing Team, Shane Diviney, complete the team with boat captain Andrew Turton from Australia – Andy is also a very skilled boat builder and sailor that will add much value to the team.

They will attend every event in calendar for the GC32 Racing 2017 and train in home base Riva del Garda at Fraglia Vela Riva in between.
