Final Act of European Star Winter Circuit - San Remo

20 boats gathered at San Remo Yacht club for the final act of the 4 regattas European Star Winter Circuit from March 31st to April 1st.

On the first day it was champagne sailing with 6/9 knots of wind and sunny conditions. Two races were held, Diego Negri & Sergio Lambertenghi ITA 8515 won the first and Thomas Allart & Killian Wiese NED 8334 the second one while the Italian team finished 2nd. As always San Remo Yacht Club organized a superbe cocktail for the teams on the first evening of the regatta.

Day 2 was a bit different with an easterly wind building up to 18/20 knots and big waves. The downwinds were spectacular and unfortunatly saw Allart & Wiese NED 8334 brake their mast and with it their hopes of winning the event and the circuit. Negri & Lambertenghi ITA 8515 won both races and secured their lead on the overall ranking after two days of racing.

On the third and last day, the wind was on but it was a northerly breaze coming down from the mountains and didn’t allow any racing as the shifts were too important and the gusts up to 28 knots.

With no racing on the last day, Saturday's results were confirmed. Diego Negri & Sergio Lambertenghi ITA 8515 won the event followed by Haico DeBoer & Frederico Melo NED 8473 in second and Christian Nehammer & Florian Urban AUT 8423 third.

With the final leg of the European Star Winter Circuit completed the overall ranking saw Reinhart Schmidt & Michael Zeller GER 8427 win the European Star Winter Circuit, in second place Thomas Allart & Killian Wiese NED 8334 and third Tom Lofsted & Christoffer Lundgren SWE 8517.
