Good bye Serge

It is with great sadness that we have to say goodbye to our friend Serge Pulfer who left us at the age of 66 following a terrible illness.

Serge was always happy to help everyone and even if he only spoke French, he always managed to make friends with sailors from all over the world.

Born in Switzerland living next to a lake that he loved so much, it was only natural that Serge became interested in sailing. After having practiced this sport in several classes, Serge came to the Star in 2010 and enjoyed multiple successes as a crew for different skippers, including the Star world champions Xavier Rohart and George Szabo.

He was part of the core team that worked to create and develop the Star Sailors League. Always a reliable figure during the SSL Finals in Nassau, Serge was a key player. Very dedicated, he was deeply appreciated by the greatest sailors who attended the event.

Our thoughts are with his family, especially with his wife, Nicole.

We will remember all the good times shared with Serge, and we will remember a kind and sociable soul loved by everybody.

His wish was for no ceremony, his ashes will be dispersed in Lac de Neuchâtel, the place he loved dearly.
