Brazilian Martine Grael back on the top of SSL Women ranking

By winning her first European 49erFX title this week-end in Aarhus (Denmark), Brazilian double Olympic champion Martine Grael won back SSL Women World n°1 spot from Anne-Marie Rindom, who was reigning for the last 6 months. Grael equals her best SSL Global ranking (3rd). Her Brazilian counterpart Kahena Kunze is also back on the top of SSL Women Crew ranking. 

49er European Champion for the first time of his career, Spain's Diego Botin advances 6 places to reach his best SSL ranking (25th). Second behind Bottin/Trittel, 49er World Champ Dutch Bart Lambriex progresses +2 to also reach his best SSL ranking (21st). 

Danish Clause Hoj Jense won H-Boat World Championship at the Warnemünder Woche (Germany) to jump from SSL World n°83 to n°30. 


DID YOU KNOW?

  • Competitions are classified into eight categories.
  • Each category is granted a number of points to be awarded to the athletes, from 10 to 4000 points - 1000 points at the 49er and 49erFX European Championship. 
  • SSL points are awarded to account for 100% for the first year, 50% for the second year, and 0% for the third year
  • The athletes' six best results are taken into account according to the system mentioned above (and all local regattas)
  • All athletes who complete a round of a regatta included in the Ranking obtain at least one point.
