Reshuffle of the podiums at Day 4 of SOF

After four races in the 49er FX fleet this afternoon, the Polish sailors top the leaderboard with Aleksandra Melzacka and Sandra Jankowiak in first place, followed by Gabriela Czapska and Hanna Rajchert in second. The consistent performance of the Polish sailors throughout the event has positioned them on the verge of claiming one of the five spots available for the Games.

Meanwhile, in the men's skiff, Germany dominates the podium with the top three places held by German sailors. Jakob Meggendorfer and Andreas Spranger now lead, ahead of compatriots Max Stingele and Linov Scheel, in second, followed by Fabian Rieger and Tom Heinrich in third.

The Nacra 17 Danish duo of Natacha Violet Saouma-Pedersen and Mathias Brun-Borreskov maintain their lead of the fleet after the fourth day of racing in Hyères. The rest of the podium is occupied by Turkey's Alican Kaynar and Beste Kaynakci are in second place, with Japan's Shibuki Itsuka and Oura Nishida Capiglia in third.

In the women's dinghy ILCA 6s, from which four Olympic places are available, Sofia Naumenko of Ukraine scored a couple of bullets to move up to third behind Cyprus's Marilena Makri and Romania's Ebru Bolat.

The podium in the ILCA 7s has seen a reordering. Jeemin Ha of South Korea pushed into first place after two bullets, surpassing Estonia's Karl-Martin Rammo and Malaysia's Khairulnizam Mohd Afendy, who dropped to third

In the mixed dinghy 470s, Italy continues to show their class with Giacomo Ferrari and Alessandra Dubbini in first and Elena Berta and Bruno Festo in second.

Results are available for all classes for both events. The conditions expected for Day 4 will definitely provide some good racing.
